Sanctuary, et al.

Denizens of Sapience,
For some time now groups such as the Necromante Unicate and the
Iscariots have crossed swords with those of the city of Enorian. The
city of Bloodloch houses many members of said groups. I am,
traditionally, a stern upholder of the law, judging fairly against my
citizens, and for a time I made certain these raids did not involve my
city nor broke the law. Regardless of my threats and punishments, many
within my city continued. Though my wishes are to be carried out within
my city, the wishes of its citizens are not ignored. Therefore I
reflected upon the treaty, particularly the sanctuary law. To what end
do I support these laws? To listen to the endless mewlings of Enorians
who feel one Bloodlochian or another has violated sanctuary? To be
insulted even after I have judged quite fairly? No, none of this would
do.
The Sultan of Enorian has deemed it unnecessary to speak with me
concerning the growing conflict between our cities. I cannot sympathize
with those who do not desire a peaceful solution, nor can I abide
requiring sanctuary laws upon my citizens while Enorian will not with
their own. So I will make this very clear:
The City of Bloodloch hereby declares its treaty with Enorian null and
void.
If Enorian wishes to convene for discussion of a fair and reasonable
sanctuary agreement or the like, I am willing to earnestly participate.
We do not wish a war, but no longer will we continue as we have.
Keeper of Bloodloch,
Prince Serivalis D'baen
