Enorian will not bow to the demands of her enemies

The City of Enorian will not fold to the will of our enemies. It is true
that we do not have sanctuary laws like the ones some of our neighbors
have. There is a reason for this.

We did indeed force Bloodloch to add a law that keeps people from using
that city as a base to wage war on us. We do not have a similar one
because there is no need for us to have one.

Bloodloch, was helping people to wage private wars on our city.
Bloodloch allowed its guards to defend those who were attacking us.
Bloodloch then tried to claim that it was not involved in these private
wars. The purpose of the sanctuary law is that they can not make this
claim in the future. If they choose to aide someone in attacking our
home they will have to do so openly. They will have to make it known
that they are willing to discard the peace that we have granted them.

Enorian has no need for such laws. If we receive a complaint and find
that someone is abusing our sanctuary, we will remove that privilege
from them. But we will stand by those who fight battles that we support.
We will offer our protection to those who work to protect the Elysian
aspects of the landmarks. We will defend those who struggle to protect
our allies in neighboring villages. We will offer sanctuary to those who
fight against our enemies.

We do this because we are honest. If we are supporting a fight, we admit
it. We do not support a struggle, let our guards participate in a
struggle, and then claim that we have no part in it.

Had other cities behaved in the same way there would have been no need
for us to get involved in their internal legislation.

Sir Cuchulainn Yaslana,
Sultan of Enorian

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Severin, in the year 172 MA.
