Dear Aetolians,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I feel it is my duty to inform
you all of this tragedy. Nissandar, King of Riparium, has been slain.
I was asked to deliver a package to him that had been enchanted with a
strong water warding spell so it wouldn't be destroyed when it was
delivered underwater. We know little of the magi that did the enchanting
save for it was a man, tall, very skilled in water warding spells, very
old, he spoke of times and places before the Artifice, and he spoke in a
strange accent.
So I now implore to all of you, if you know of such a mage, I dearly
wish to speak with him.
Also, I have one last request. The people of Riparium are in mourning,
they have lost a King. Please give them some time to do this before
trampling into Riparium asking questions. That is all.

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Ios, in the year 171 MA.
