Public News Post #3624

to the Consanguine.

I have been giving much thought to the state of our race lately, and our
history. There are countless consanguine who advocate a return to the
old times and the old ways, so that we can achieve that same success.
Rather than talk and dream, I have decided to research the old ways and
the ancient histories, times hazy in my memory and events a hundred and
ten or more years ago.

What I have discovered will no doubt shock and offend many of the
Consanguine race, even though it is not even a discovery so much as a
listing of facts. The simple and sad truth is, the ancient ways of the
consanguine have not worked in modern times or recent history because
they never worked in the first place.

The very first Bloodloch post by the now King Abhorash Nehekhara is
dated 19th of Arios, 53 MA. Most Consanguine say the problems of the
greater undead began when the King lost his throne. This happened in 66
MA. The great immortal King, now lost to us, ruled for a mere 13 years.
Some consider the problems actually began when Jaeharn became a rogue
from Bloodloch and did the first embracing spree, which led the King and
the leader of the Paladins at the time to join forces briefly to stop
that unchecked spread, in an action that was deemed necessary yet
shameful to both parties. Though that situation was diffused, it was the
first of many such instances and will probably not be the last.

This is the hard truth that those of you who whine about the ancient
ways and the great legacies must accept. The ancient ways never worked.
They will not start to work if we give them just one more try. You all
consider yourselves above mortals, and you are. But you are not above
each other. I leave you to discuss these dates and try to find ways to
overturn my conclusions. Hopefully some of you will give it reasonable
thought and realize that I am right. New things must be tried if
different results are to be achieved.

I will be recreating my Iscariot Clan again soon. This time it will not
be a House of a single bloodline, but of many bloodlines. It will
include other types of undead as well as Consanguine. It will not be
orthodox. We will not be using the blood rank system in any way, shape
or form.

Strung Cardinalis, soon to be Patriarch of the Iscariot Clan.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Niuran, in the year 168 MA.
