I think it's worth pointing out that the only areas which have been
exterminated have been the jungle spreading over Tasur'ke and a portion
of the jungle around Haern's temple as a counterattack to what is being
done in Tasur'ke. In both cases Haern's followers brought these
exterminations to the lands and this latest action on their part is just
another case of their attempting to gain political leverage in their
quest to consume little Tasur'ke for whatever foul reasons they may
have. If they just want more jungle I don't see why they didn't just
cover Hashan, less intelligent creatures live there and nowhere near as
much trouble would have come from the resistance efforts it might have
put together. Hashan could have actually benefited from more wildlife,
but doing this to Tasur'ke which is just north of that place is once
again just plain cruel.
