Ok, so I have been reading, and thinking..and I realised a couple of
things that were of great interest to me.

Wedric probably has alot of herbs. He's probably not going to go through
them too quickly, because chances are he will stay graced, until he
wants to burn something. Also, he probably realises he will die, and
wont waste the herbs he has trying to stay alive.
My point: Wedric has more herbs than he will ever need.

Next, the leaders of Duiran, and the it's members who -can- harvest,
probably have alot of herbs. Chances are, they wont use alot of them
killing Wedric seeing as he is such a low level, and unlikely to put up
a fight due to his certainty of demise.
My point: Members of Duiran have more herbs than they will need for the
forseeable future.

Duiran claims this is a problem facing everyone in the world. They are
right, everyone who uses herbs will eventually run out. It effects us
all, most notably those who are not Wedric, or people with large caches
full of herbs who don't fight much.
My point: The people most effected by this have no say in trying to fix
it.

But what interested me most of all, is that Duiran is going to let every
plant just die off without attempting to replant them. The world is
going to be entirely barren because Wedric was stripped of his ability
to harvest. Without plant life, nothing will survive.
My point here folks! Duiran's ego is more important to them than every
-single- life in this world. Duiran would rather see a wasteland of ash
stretch as far as they can see from their ivory tower, than let one
person pick a few flowers, and roots to earn a bit of gold.
