I'm old so bare with me. But when I read your post
I couldn't help but laugh. It was really amusing to say the least.
Then it made me think of all the rest that have tried similar
tactices, not with Duiran but with other cities and/or
organizations.
Belgarion with his raids upon Bloodloch to try to Destroy
Amarigen.
Spiro who exterminated vast quanties of forest to try to
get Ulangi.
I could go on and on, but point is, they do not work.
You can burn the forest -- it'll grow back. Who it will
hurt is the realms. But it overally doesn't harm nature,
nature will survive your burnings and you. Long after
you are gone, it will continue.
And whatever leverage you had to regain your harvesting
skills is more then likely thrown out the window.
You can basically kiss that goodbye..
Now, I don't talk for Duiran, but like to point out
this isn't the way to go, if anything hurt you.
But hey, I like watching stupidity in action, it gives
me something to be amused by on those cold winter days.
