Our Requirements

Greetings Nachzeher,
I've been contemplating ways to increase our membership and although we
have access to supplicants through Cognates, the Imperium, and even the
newbie channel, all very valuable resources if used correctly, we still
seem to be lacking as far as new members go and in a time when joining a
House of the Undead is as simple as joining a guild via Certimene, this
is a threat to viability of our House.
From what I can gather in our project in cognates and our own clanhelp
information, one must kick their way to level ten to even join our House
as a servant and then must kick their way to level twenty-one, join
Spinesreach or be enemied to no city, earn enough gold to buy two vials
of health and reach Nomad in the fellowship of explorers before they may
be considered for enthrallment. Now while I certainly did and likely
most of Nachzeher's blooded members have also met those requirements, I
feel a few simple and logical changes may not only help increase the
tenacity of our hopeful supplicants, but also would ensure that our
young members are well trained in the ways and history of the
Consanguine, properly representing our House from their earliest days as
a Thrall.
Perhaps we could lower or do away with the level requirement to join as
a mortal servant, instead requiring that the would be servant answer the
following questions.
1. - Explain why they wish to become Consanguine.
2. - Explain why they wish to become a member of Nachzeher.
Having satisfactorily answered those questions they would be granted
entrance to House Nachzeher as a mortal servant at which point they
would begin preparing for the time they will spend as a thrall by
meeting the following requirements.
1. - Have an appropriate name and description
2. - Answer a series of questions on the history of the Consanguine
race.
3. - Know the legacies and the history behind them.
4. - Know the Consanguine peerage and have an idea why such peerage was
and still is used.
5. - Have a basic understanding of the information contained in HELP
CORPUS and HELP MENTIS.
6. - Own a vial of health elixir.
I feel those who can demonstrate knowledge of these things would be well
prepared for life as a thrall and our Embracement requirements would of
course remain as challenging as they have always been, for it is the
Embrace which requires a great deal of preparation if one is to thrive
and not falter in unlife. I am currently in the process of brainstorming
Embracement requirements as well, should they be needed I will post them
when I've had done with them.
As Always,
Melusine
