The villagers of Tasur'ke will have the choice to stay or to go. If they
stay, they will live in a village much closer to nature, in the way
Eleusis and the Tsol'aa village is.
You are either ignorant or you are lying, Irruel. I spoke with Haern
Himself the night that the totem was placed in Tasur'ke. What He said in
our conversation was contrary to the claims being made by Duiran and His
Order members. In trying to understand if what you and others like you
say is true, I discussed the matter with Him. I at the time did not
believe you, and I asked Him if he would be interested in a compromise,
a city like Eleusis, presenting it as an original idea. I wanted to be
reasonable, for I believed that He might be. He informed me however that
there will be no compromise, and that such a thing is impossible. I
practically pleaded with Him for this, and He told me "I do not think
you understand my aims", and then explained that He intends to reclaim
the world for nature. This prompted me to ask about the other cities,
and indeed he replied, "Their time will come", as Strung quoted in a
previous article. He made his intentions crystal clear. He is against
the existence of cities, and decided to take ours out before it could
become one. He cares nothing for what city-dwellers want, and as he told
Oceania, our pleas "fall on death ears". It seems we do not
matter--Nature alone matters for Nature is His cause. I am sorry I could
not have included more quotes. My circumstances at the time made it
difficult to record, but I have paraphrased the important points.
However, it is impossible to convey in a narrative what His words
conveyed to me when we spoke.
I also have other sources that say that they have known of His plans and
intentions for years, and I have heard multiple times that the original
target briefly considered may have been Ashtan. I hope that those of you
who are part of civilization will take this threat seriously--the
futures of your cities depend on it. Tasur'ke is only the beginning. Do
not be influenced by propaganda from an Order which denies the words of
its own god.
Thank you for your attention,
