Oh, me! Me! I wanna tell a genie joke too! Just gonna pull three guilds
out of a hat here....

A Daru, a Magi, and a Syssin were all stranded on Poly. Apparently, the
ferry was permanently out of order and there was no other way out. The
three agreed to work together to find a solution to their predicament.
They were stranded for quite some time, and learned to tolerate each
other *almost* to the point of friendship. One day as they wandered the
island, they came upon a glowing lamp.

After much heated debate over who should rub the lamp, they all decided
to do it together. To their delighted surprise, a genie rose up out of
the lamp and glanced at them thoughtfully.

"Well now," the genie boomed, "I have never had three masters before.
This is what I'll do: since I usually give three wishes to one master, I
will give each of you one wish since there are three masters. The catch,
however, is that you cannot rub the lamp again for another three years."

"Perfect!" the Daru shouted. "I'll go first! I wish I could be
transported back to the mainland so I can find my way home!"

"Done!" the genie pronounced. With a wave of his hand, the Daru was
gone.

"Good idea!" the Magi enthused. "I wish for that too."

"Your wish is my command!" the genie replied good-naturedly. With
another wave of his hand, the Magi was gone.

The Syssin, having watched the whole senario, suddenly began to feel
very alone on this harpy and dragon-infested island.

"Gee," the Syssin said forlornly. "I just wish I had my friends back..."

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Severin, in the year 163 MA.
