The destruction of shrines

Dear people of Sapience:
It grieves me that it is necessary to post this, but if I do not the
actions of a few may threaten the well-being of many. I speak now not on
my own behalf, but on behalf of the Order of Niuri.
Apparently a group of people, including some from a guild of which Lady
Niuri is Matron, have taken it upon themselves to begin destroying
shrines. This they are doing on their own instigation, for their own
reasons, which have nothing to do with their Matron. In fact, I think it
is likely that She may be displeased that they have acted so rashly,
thereby bringing negative attention to Her as well as to one of the
guilds under Her care.
We, as members of Mystery's Order, have pleaded with the instigators to
stop attacking shrines. They have flatly refused to do so. It is out of
our hands, and we can only hope that others will have better success in
reasoning with them.
We are a community of scholars and mystics. We serve Mystery through
seeking and promoting understanding and enlightenment. We are not thugs,
we do not attack shrines, we do not start conflicts, and we do not
condone any of those kinds of actions.
Thank you, fellow Sapients, for reading this carefully. May Mystery
guide us all to greater wisdom and clarity in our thoughts, words and
deeds.
