Cowardice

Dearest Ikne (and anyone else this pertains to),

There is a fine line between common sense and provocation to the point
of cowardice. Sure, there is a terrible dragon on Polyargos. I have
faced his wrath many a time, doing nothing more than killing the filthy
harpys he so despises. But to compare combating the dragon Yudhishthira
to combating mortals only shows that you are lacking the discernment
skills needed for a post as thundering as you thought yours was going to
be.

Those that pick on weaker people are, in my book, bullies. Experience
has taught me that 99 percent of bullies are cowards. Why? Because they
know they are in the wrong. They know people will hunt them down and
possibly kill them for what they do. And do you know what bullies do,
Ikne? Surely you, of all people, would know that. They pick on those
weaker than they because they're afraid of what someone their own size
would do to them. Or, perhaps it is simply because they delight in the
act. Further still, they may do it because it makes them feel powerful.
Some do it for the rush. The reasons are plentiful, but they are all
dishonorable and yes, cowardly. They hurt or kill, run and hide when
pursued, then scoff when the world cause them cowardly bullies.

All this because they decided to pick on someone they *knew* couldn't
pick back. Yet, you probably won't see the same person go pick on mighty
Yudhi. Call it common sense if you will; however, common sense is just
staying away from the bloody dragon in the first place, unless you've
got a contingent of people willing to back you up if you do decide to
face him. Even so, there is a difference between facing Yudhi in planned
combat and stepping on his toes and saying, "Nyah nyah, you can't catch
me." If you do the latter, you're just an imbecile asking for trouble.
If you do the first, well, you're planning an attack and yes, you will
probably hide several times during the fight in order to gain back your
health and whatnot. BUT, this is because you are facing something many
times your might; we're not talking about kicking a defenseless squirrel
and then hiding because it sent its mighty squirrel cousins after you.

The fact that I have seen arguments supporting the coward comments from
both light AND dark sides tells me that those of you trying to defend
your cowardly, bullying acts are simply wandering fools vying for
attention in any way you can get it.

Now, I'm sure I'll probably have some people on my tail after this post.
But you know what? I could care less. I have never pretended to stand a
chance against anyone in combat. The few victories I have were because
my opponent felt sorry for me and gave in. I choose to walk the path of
peace, truth, and light. I try to hold my tongue, but some matters I
cannot ignore. So, if you feel it necessary to come after me, then do
what you must. Just keep in mind that there are worse things in life
than being told by a humble forest dweller.

With that, I retire to the realms to continue meditation.
