Greetings Aetolians, and Divine ones.
This post will be a relay of one i penned in the fourmes belonging to
the Citizens of Tasur'ke clan. It is a suggestion of mine which might be
worth looking into, for those of us who are involved in the situation.
To those whom are not, i apologize, this has no dealing with you,
allthough input will always be welcome.
I will transcribe the post in it's fullness, as i have nothing to hide.
I wish to share the idea with the various parties involved, and i belive
it to be an excellent one which can save us allot of bloodshed.
Here goes:
Hello, people.
This post is ment to raise a new idea i'd like to see some feedback on.
First, the Status of the current situation, after talking to both sides:
A totem has been raised inside the Village. It is spreading jungle
around the village, The totem has been raised by Haern with assistance
from Slyphe who is backing Him up on this. Haern would like to bring
Tasur'ke closer to nature. According to a high ranking member of His
Order which i have spoken to, this is not ment to be done by dominating
the village, Merely exsisting in harmony with it. The war around the
totem and our attempts at taking it down are going sourley. Haern has a
larger Order full of well-trained fighters. We are visionaries,
hopefully citizens, and statesmen more then fighters. We have gotten a
fair number of them. However, things seem to have come to a standstill,
as we cannot manage to take down the totem, and both sides are
suffering. Prehaps even worse.
I conducted a quick poll on clt, at several occasions. People here have
no ill-will torwards nature. It will be a terrible starting point for
our City-state, of we enemy ourselves to Duiran and the Forestfolk. We
should plan ahed.
Haern's Order has no ill-will torwards Tasur'ke, i am told. He merely
stated that He wishes for it to become closer to nature. I asked
Tarleich if there is any objections to the idae of Tasur'ke expanding
into a City like we wish it to, if it was to become a combination of
both Ashtan, Shallam, and thier likes, and Eleusis and the Tsol'aa
villages. Somewhere around the middle. His response was that to the best
of his knowledge, there are few who refuse to see Tasur'ke expand,
regardless of it's bonding with nature or not. He claims that mostly it
is due to thier dislike of Shoimoro and his 'lackys', and the methods in
which he works. however, he also agreed with me that Shoimoro is not
CoT, and Vica Versa. Going against an idea because of your dislike of
someone who raised it is childish and dimwitted, and could be easily
exposed as such. The remaining few who do not want to see us expand are
people who have no wish for another City-state. However, Tarleich claims
taht among those, there are none who would support violent action
against us.
Which brings us to my rather long winded point. Obiously this
bloodthirsty rushing about, while a source of joy and income to some of
us, will do our real goal no good. Seperaiting the goals from the means
is neccesery. Our goal is to expand Tasur'ke. I ask of you. Is there any
reason we could not try and work -with- the Forestfolk, insted of
against them? To make a City-state which would encompass both what we
want, and what they would like to see? One that exsists, in short, in
harmony with nature?
I'm sure that a reason can be found. More or less on the lines of 'then
we'll have it less -our- way'. However, when you think about it, there
are more then enough reasons not to continue this way as well. The main
one being that the City is not gaining in progress. On the contrary.
It's a matter of choosing the lesser evil, as is often the case in
politics. For both sides. And also choosing beetwin what is wrong and
right, but thats an argument best left for later.
Please consider this. I think it could advance us allot. Thanks.
In service,
-Methuselah.

End of original post.
Some slight editing has been done, nothing to change the contex, but
more on the order of fixing mistakes.
The question i refered to the CoT, i now refer to the rest of you as
well, Duiran members, Sentinels, Druids, and respectfully, Lord Haern. I
am a member of both the CoT and Duiran, and while this makes for an
interesting contrast in my intrests, it also means i care for both
sides. I realize this solution has it's flaws. All of them do. Prehaps
with a little work on this idea, it could be made into the one with the
least of them, however.
Respectfully,
-Methuselah.
