The Iscariot, my children.

Few of you are old enough now to remember the Iscariot, a small team,
not really a house of vampires I created. When I was young I foolishly
opposed the Artificer, and when Enorian was still called by its better
name my younger brother was Sultan. The Artificer publicly resolved to
destroy the temple of Lanos in the once city of light, now city of ash.
The people were unable were unable to defeat His agents which included
RL mercenaries, and the Sultan sought me out and asked for my help.
I then embraced three mortals volunteers from the city, training and
prepairing them in the power of the blood. I dubbed them the Iscariot,
and we met the renegades and artificers and defeated them, providing
Elden with the security he needed to complete the ritual for the
temple's defense. When the time came Severn cast his spell and darkness
weaved around the temple, but failed to erase it. A happy ending for all
but the three Iscariot.
Back then, there was no way to lift the curse. They wanted to live in
the city of light but could not, and I would not allow them to join the
darkest sides either. So they wandered, struggled against my will and
eventually all fell to torpor.
This is in part an apology to my children. I am only now coming to terms
with how foolish I've been, and I apologize. If you choose to return, I
will not tell you how to exist. If you choose to become mortal again and
join the city of fire, I will not begrudge you. I cannot repent for
taking your lives and perhaps your souls, only apologize.
And, I am finally prepaired I feel to create a new generation so to
speak of the Iscariot. There is a new goal, the undoing of Strung's
legacy of foolishness. The restoration of a world where there were
heroes.
If you are willing to give your soul to fix this world, then seek me out
and we will talk.
Strung Cardinalis.
