The Accusations Brought Against Me

To those Men and Women who Want the Truth:
My name has come up a lot from the postings of warmongerers in the
past and I ignored it because I did not care to waste the gold to
set straight lies told by obvious liars. But after a number of
years without my blades I find it funny that I am being accused of
starting this war. So for those interested, I will detail the
exact events that led to the burning hatred that those of the light
view me with.
When I was young I kept myself to menial tasks. Did a lot of
forging and occasionally went landmarking. When those that fought
against me lost, as they always did, they tried to take revenge
outside of the landmarks. From then on I minded my own business
for the most part and was happily living until Enorian decided to
place sanctuary law over Shastaan- one of my favorite places to
gather corpses and sate my soul. After a few confrontations in
Shastaan the Enorian leadership enemied me. These leaders of
course then hid behind their walls while refusing to talk to me
in any proper fashion. So I hunted the other leaders of that so
called city of light. What occured to me after I took many of
their lives is that few of them agreed with the Viziers who imposed
these laws. The few that were able to talk reason I asked to speak
to their leaders about their sanctuary laws. Nothing came of it,
and I continued killing until I would get a more agreeable
response. Instead of that response, I had the Gods pleading for
mercy on behalf of the "leaders" of Enorian. So I stopped killing
them.
I rested in peace for awhile before setting off to practice my
blades on more neutral targets. One day while I was running
through Dun Fortress the famed Daskalos Lightmaster tried to jump
me. I shrugged him off and continued on my way. Later, he and
Clio tried to jump me in the Morgun and I again simply walked away
from them. Neither time, mind you running towards my city or any
city because I didn't need it. With those groups unsuccessfully
hunting me more joined their hunts, and I grew tired of it and
hunted the hunters when they were on their own. Then a number of
slanderous posts followed stating how I killed novices and
neophytes when in fact the only people I hunted were the leadership
to begin with, and then only those who had hunted me. Still, I
did not mind the Luminaries and Daru helping me spread my fame so
I let it go without mention.
The number of hunts increased for my while their success dwindled.
I got tired of hunting and being hunted, and likewise I imagine
my victims got tired too because a God came to me and told me to
lay off. Obviously the request of the God required my lifestyle
to take a drastic change but after much heated debate I
complacently agreed. I still remember the words that rang true in
my mind, "Don't fight them, they will bring the world against them
quicker than you ever could."
