venoms

Greetings fellow Aetolians.

While I will not lower myself to the insults the Shadowsnakes obviously
feel are necessary to make their point, I will ask this question: who
honestly believes the Shadowsnakes are restricting venoms out of the
goodness of their hearts?

If they were truly interested in protecting Aetolia from the terrible
destruction their venoms would cause would they not promise not to even
milk it? They are merely attempting to increase their own power by
preventing access to the venoms.

I do not despute the Shadowsnakes right to produce venoms and set their
own prices. Nor I argue against them setting up internal guild
regulations which allow their upper echelon to be the ones to profit
from the selling of venoms. What I dispute is their right to tell me
what I may buy. Read over the first post on this issue. The Shadowsnakes
casually inform us that anyone who buys venoms they have decreed are
illegal to own shall be punished. It seems to me that I have the right
to buy whatever I want. How many of you would be appreciative if I were
to decide that the Infernals will punish anyone who buys a health vial?

The Paladins are, of course, free to buy those venoms the Shadowsnakes
have benevolently decided to allow them access to. If they feel they
cannot fight without them, that is their choice.

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Chakros, in the year 54 MA.
