Clan and House Bahir'an

Written by: Crown Prince Zoharim Bahir'an

Greetings Princess Kauller Bouchard,

I do not often use this medium to proclaim my ideas or thoughts, but
there has been much inquiry of late about my actions. Rather than answer
each of you individually, I shall explain things here.

First, I suppose it is best that I explain to you the ideals upon which
House Bahir'an was founded. Our House was founded upon the ideal of
freedom - freedom for each member of the House to do what we want, when
we want and that includes joining whatever city, organization or Order
we choose to join. From this common ideal of freedom, sprouts the
House's second ideal of unity. Each and every one of us is committed to
making sure that all of us are free.

I shall admit, in the early days our ideal of freedom had to be a
clandestine one. But, my dear, dear sister, you have shaken the very
foundations of Consanguine culture. With this massive upheaval, I have
decided that our ideals should no longer be a secret.

When I explained these ideals to you, Princess Kauller, and you
responded publicly as you did, I merely chuckled to myself. It is
unfortunate indeed, that these "goals are in direct conflict with the
goals of the city of Bloodloch." Your loss, and the rest of the world's
gain. Regardless, though, these are the ideals and goals of our House.

As the current Keeper of Bloodloch has seen fit to deny my progeny a
place in their society, I implore the other cities and organizations of
the land not do so. To those that would ask, "But do they not hold
allegiance to you, the Crown Prince? How can one hold allegiance to two
authorities?" My response is, I am no hypocrite. If my progeny are loyal
to me, that is because they CHOOSE to do so. I am loyal to Bahir'an and
myself. I require only that my progeny be loyal to themselves first.
Thus, if they wish to be loyal to anyone else or any other thing, that
is up to them. I will look out for them when I can, but that is because
they are my childer and my family.

Any allegiance my progeny hold to me, is the allegience a child has to a
father, or the allegiance any of you might have to a distant ancestor.

Thus, I implore the other cities not to follow the wayward path that
Princess Kauller has lead Bloodloch down. Not only would my progeny be
invaluable members of your respective societies, it would be a crime of
the worst nature to deny these fledglings a place in your societies
simply for who they are. Judge my childer by their actions... not by
what they are, that is all I ask.

This last paragraph is addressed to those of my childer who seek to deny
their natures. Clan Bahir'an is merely the outward manifestation of
House Bahir'an. Although you may have left the Clan, you can never leave
the House. Once a Bahir'an, always a Bahir'an. (That is unless, by the
Grace of the Gods the Bahir'an blood is taken from you.) I accept each
and every one of you - your "good" qualities and your "bad" qualities.
You are I, and I am you. We are one in Blood. Do not deny what you are.

Yours in Blood,
Crown Prince Zoharim Bahir'an

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Lleian, in the year 68 MA.
