Hunting Prey...

Greetings Aetolians,
I have been reading posts about hunting different races and such for
quite some time now. I know there are plenty that get along with not
hunting and instead spend their time reading literature, being an active
member in working on terms and treaties and wars within your guild and
other guilds, some that explore the depths and continue to find new
things and let us know where to go and where not to go, some that take
political positions, and yet still others take a more active role in
pursuing the most out of their lives to gain more physical strength or
stamina or endurance by working hard and hunting things constantly.
All of these roles have been accepted for many many years, even beyond
my own. But recently those have felt they can hinder someones choice of
lifestyle because it goes against something they hold dearly. Why? Why
would you want another to suffer in such a manner? The Mhun
Enlightenment has said that if you seek to hunt then do, but know about
them before you do. Yhog took another approach though, he decided to
fight for his fellow kind and keep anyone touching them by harming them
the way they harm his brethren.
As a Sentinel, I have searched Lord Haerns ways and found that in order
to hunt a prey, you must first understand it. I know that for the little
that I hunt anymore, that I hunt things that are as powerful, if not
more powerful then myself. I then offer them to MLady Slyphe because
they were such a worthy competitor. I fought and won and I thus advanced
myself from their own strength. I know that many do the same as myself
and give them such reverance as to offer them to a great divine for
essence and making their spirits worth something larger then themselves.
So I guess that I am saying that while I can understand why you would
want someone to keep your brethren safe and secure, but do not be the
cause of making your race stagnant. For Change is something needed in
Sapience or else everything will become less effective. They will not be
their full strength or meet their full potential because they have been
suppressed for years.
I know that I will continue to hunt the Mhuns in Moghedu, The Lizardfolk
and the Trolls in the Hashan Ruins, The Cultists, Canines, and Ophidians
in the Great Rock, and all of the other sapient beings and creatures
amongst sapience. I know that this will cause some of you anger and a
hot tempered opinion of me, but this is the truth that no matter how
much you want someone to do something that you most of the time wont be
able to. So in return I ask you to enlighten them and hope that it makes
a small difference in their lives that they may think about their worthy
adversary they are hunting.
Very Truly Yours, The Rampant Stallion
