the threat of war.

I should not continually be surprised at the Lord of Artifice's ability
to twist my words. Or perhaps it is a matter of me not being a diplomat
and so not as skilled as some at expressing them.
We have never once entered a war for conquest. In three wars we gained
territory in only one, and in that one we gave back the vast majority of
the land that we took and could have held. Enorian is not a city of
Warmongers. The ruling council does not delight in leading our forces
into battle, but we do not shrink from it.
I will not appologize for my fellow vizier, because it is not my
position to appologize for his personal position. I have explained that
all "treats" of war from the city of Enorian will be from me or my
successors.
If my position is not clear to You at this point, I suggest You contact
me directly, because I do not feel the need to burden the entire world
with this discussion any further.

My point was this: When we negotiate, we have at least some requirement
that we need met. We prefer to aquire this need through peacefull means,
but we do not fear using our ability to wage war to get what we need. We
will protect our people and our interests. If it requires us to use
force to do so, it is only because someone else has made this necessary
