"claims" on wilderness and other such rubbish

Those who have the audacity to think any section of free wilderness
belongs to them are fools. Those who believe they have the right to
dictate what happens in the free wilderness are sadly mistaken.
The wilderness is called just that for its wild qualities. It is not
meant to be coddled or babysat, it is not meant to be put in a bubble to
"ooooh" and "aaaaah" at. Such actions are abhorrent to its wildness, and
hinder its ability to grow strong.
Let the wild land remain free, and let its strength speak for itself.
What will survive will survive because it is strong, and what is
eliminated is slain because it was not strong enough. It is the right of
no mortal to choose what wild things should live and which should die -
that decision is made solely by the pulse of the Rhythm, the natural
order of life and death.
Cities may plant flags, and build walls over the wild land. Stones may
be laid, buildings erected. But the spirit of the land is not squelched,
it simply waits. Eventually, as the Morgun, that spirit will rise up and
reclaim what was once decimated. It does not need mortal hands to
self-righteously say "Thou shalt not slay pheasants!" or "The elk will
not be hunted, less I hunt you in return." No, the wild land needs no
such things. Those who insist on perpetrating such actions only seek to
hinder in the long run what they claim to attempt to accomplish.
