An attempt to clarify

I had so hoped to be able to stay out of this debate, but in the
interest of accuracy -- since the public may not have access to
information other than what is posted here -- I feel I must correct
Deskalos's statement in post 2816. Regarding the incident with the Flame
and/or the Angel, he said: 'Perhaps you are right on the Nachash event,
then again, it was Her order members that did it...'
Looking for the truth of the matter, I asked an authoritative source the
names of those involved in both incidents. Of the ten names I was given,
there was only -one- member of the Order of Niuri. And he was acting
under his own agenda, without the knowledge or sanction of the Order
itself.
There were also some Cabalists, but that does not put the Cabalist Guild
or its Matron at fault. There were some members of the Church of
Despair, some citizens of Bloodloch, some Consanguine... quite a mixed
group who undoubtedly had their own (shared and individual) agendas for
their actions. It would be completely illogical to make generalizations
about any of these groups, based upon the actions of a few of their
number.
The point here is, let's keep the facts straight, particularly if we are
going to publish them. The assertions that Niuri's Order was 'behind'
these incidents are false. So, kindly cease this tired and overworked
attempt to connect them with the Order of Niuri.
As for the other matters currently under debate, I hope for the sake of
all concerned that what is wisest and best will come to the forefront.
When people of integrity seek the facts and think for themselves, rather
than being swayed by propaganda, the right will prevail. Walk in wisdom,
fellow Sapients!
