The Creation of the Tree

There seems to be much dispute over the creation of the Yggdrasil Tree
and the exact sort of Tree which it is. There also seems to be much
disagreement over the exact methods used to 'grow' the Yggdrasil and who
exactly participated.

There is significant evidence that the Tree as it manifests in the world
is an Apple Tree. I believe firmly that this section of the Tree was
grown by the Ankyreans in their ritual, and that this section of the
Tree houses the Flame of Yggdrasil.

However, in the very recent past, during the time when Amairgen was
attempting to use the prophet Loretta for 'foul purposes', a branch of
the Yggdrasil was broken off and crashed into the Isle of Polyargos.
This branch is clearly that of a mighty Ash tree and is also clearly
part of the Yggdrasil. In the not-so-recent past, though still in modern
times, I had the fortune to hold a root from the Yggdrasil in my hands.
This root was also clearly that of an Ash tree, and decidedly that of
the Yggdrasil (being that a Divine hand guided mine during a passage
through the Soul Mirror).

I have endeavored during a significant portion of my life to discern how
and why the Yggdrasil manifests itself as two distinctly different sorts
of Trees, and to what end it serves. There is, to my knowledge, no
visible seam where the Apple and Ash merge together. I have spent
countless days observing the Tree and the Flame and can see no
particular link between Ash and Apple that would even hint at the
reasoning why the two Trees can even co-exist in the same root system.

I would beseech the Divine for some guidance in this research, before
the opportunity to discover such answers is lost.
