The Darkness Inherant in Us All

There is a touch of darkness in everyone's heart, and one can say that
how we view this darkness is what shapes our lives for us. Some choose
to embrace their vileness and treacherous nature. Dangerous savages,
they roam the realms looking for easy prey to feast soundly upon, and
take pride in their stalking.
There are those who simply choose to accept this darkness. These people
are perhaps the most numerous, and can be found on both sides of the
spectrum, darkness and light. They go through their lives without fear,
and are secure in who they are.
And then there are those, the most dangerous perhaps, who live the
deluded lives of thinking themself comepletely free of this 'taint'.
Their complete denial of this darkness subjects them to their own
short-sighted views on any matter of any subject, and I almost pity them
as they indulge themselves in an endless stream of lies and deceits of
their own concocting.
I have very recently experianced contact with many such people, and find
my theory to be correct. Perhaps the best example to enlighten to all is
the most public one. Namely this little spat between 'Lightbringer'
Daskalos, and Jianmin. Both are inheriently evil in their actions and
the way they establish themselves.
Daskalos embraces the darkness deeply embedded within his small heart
with his constant need to devour life. One need not look far to see that
his recent declaration of war on two cities is not the only case of his
homocidal urges. Ah, but Daskalos has said, 'No, I only declared war as
a ploy. And it worked, I'm such a clever little angel.' And one must
think, is not lies and deception just another facet of this inner
darkness? Perhaps Lord Severn would be able to assist me with this, for
I am sure He knows best.
And as it seems that this Daskalos seems to be the spokesperson for the
Daru guild, can it not be easily assumed that many of his colleges and
peers feel the same way as he does? And as he is Vizier of the City of
Light, could it not also be established that darkness also taints this
stronghold? I beleive we all know the answer to those questions, and
depending on how you view the darkness in yourself, you'll be confident
or in denial of the answers.
I have also witnessed much 'evil' and darkness in the hearts of the
Paladins, beings who seem adamant to do all they must do to bring an end
to chaos and evil. They think of ridding darkness as something that
involves destruction, and in so doing indulge in the evil they so hate.
A light illuminates, and I rejoice in the knowledge that these knights
of 'good' have forgotten this, as they take quite evident delight
instead in lies, theft, and murder to justify their cause.
I want you all to look within yourselves and discover that darkness that
beckons ever so quietly in every action you commit. Feel light-hearted
now that you can no longer live your lives in fear of dening the
undeniable, and simply accept who and what you are. The Darkness always
calls, and one almost always answers.
Embrace the darkness.
