This is a recount of the first lecture held to educate the masses on the
History of the Consanguine. The lecture itself was held by Lady Anashia
and myself in honours of Lady Niuri.

The history of the Consanguine, of all Consanguine here in Sapience
starts with their oldest and highest ancestor and it explains too that
the existence of the Consanguine is the result of an arcane experiment
and, later, certain lacks of their existence, the result of a curse.

It was long ago in the glorious times of the Ankyreans, even before the
second war and the Grand Artifice when something caused the different
Conclaves to research the construction of a divine portal. This was the
first time when a young progeny of the Conclave of Magic was first
remarked when she suggested to the Dhasans and oldest followers of the
Conclaves to choose an apple tree sapling, due to its particular
affinity with the cycle of life, death and rebirth and its longevity.
This young progeny was Lady Yrtez, and even when she was later not
involved in the final creation of the tree called Yggdrasil but
nevertheless she seemed to be driven by her brilliant mind and gained
the respect of her brethren.

It was with this brilliant mind, and with this respect that she gained
the position of the Dhasan of the Conclave of Magic later and during
that time she was among the highest advisors of Ard-Dhasani Habbak. But
it is unknown to us all for only Dhasan Yrtez might know the answer why
she was so obsessed by the vision to gain immortality, to escape the
Death, for it was this vision, which sparked finally the attention of
Lady Chakrasul, the Goddess of Corruption, and so She started to speak
to Lady Yrtez, about old and forgotten rituals, arcane spells uttered in
the first language called Kalsu.

Kalsu played a very important role during these rituals and experiments
which were immediately started by the Conclave of Magic, and even when
the members of the Conclave focussed their entire concentration onto the
ritual and in the beginning they left nothing but failures behind,
completely mindless test persons, which lost their mind forever and were
nothing more but animals.

The Conclave continued their experiments though until they had finally
one day a particular success with their recent test person, who was
still not the same he used to be before but nevertheless kept at least
some own sort of intelligence. This test person changed his name into
Zsarachnor, escaped from the halls of the Conclave and went to Azdun
where he continued his altered life up to today.

Dhasan Yrtez was nevertheless excited about the progress, considered
finally to become involved in the experiments but not without consulting
the Ard-Dhasani before. Ard-Dhasani Habbak was already informed about
her work and warned by the Conclave of Devotion, that Yrtez's work is
nothing but an abomination and insult against the Gods. Her work caused
a great irritance among the other Conclaves, but more specifically the
Conclave of Devotion. Since Dhasan Yrtez was his highest Dhasan and
probably even a personal friend, he rejected his approval to her.

Dhasan Yrtez left Spinesreach almost immediately after that and the
biggest part of her Conclave, out of fear, out of respect or maybe even
out of both followed her into a Keep southeast of Spinesreach concealed
at the shores of a dangerous lake. With her, the members of the Conclave
of Magic had gone, leaving the Conclave of Sages feeling empty and very
angry. The Conclave of Magic started to protect their places with glyphs
and magical wards, this caused finally the death of the Dhasan of the
conclave of Devotion, their own death later and was the start of what
was later called the Second War and finally the demise of the Ankyreans.

Strange things started to occur. Loyal Ankyreans were kidnapped,
meanwhile loyal Syssins seemed to be controlled from afar and whenever
the Ard-Dhasani in his deep concern sent a messenger to Dhasan Yrtez
with messengers, they never returned or when they did they were in
pieces. A dark cloud was seen over the concealed laying Keep, the
mortals feared her presence until there was finally a day that the sun
did not raise again. This caused panic among both, the Ankyrean and the
normal mortals.

Habbak ordered the Conclave of Science and Nature to find immediately
the reason of the eternal night and the result of their investigation
was that the Conclave of Magic was able to alter and change two
monuments which were constructed in the beginning merely to mark the
change between day and night but were now, after the alteration able to
determine and even to expand the length of the night. The eternal night
remained and that started to take its toll on Sapience. The assaults
continued, the plant life disappeared, the animals died from starvation,
entire cities destroyed, the mortals living in caves began to practice
cannibalism, when a member of the Conclave of Arts was finally able to
witness the ritual to keep the night he was able to develop with his own
Conclave a counter-ritual. Here ended the mortal past of Dhasan Yrtez
and her other existence started.

After realizing that they are almost helpless to this and find it hard
to understand anything about these new rebels walking the earth. The
Order bespoke the Gods and hoping to find some help or be shown some
path to knowledge, only to find that their cries have fallen upon deaf
ears, save one God. Lord Severn was the only God to pay them any form of
attention. He taught the Order one thing, that the Consanguine cannot
walk into the sunlight due to this transformation. What He failed to
tell them was that this transformation was permanent and gave us the
ability to create others like us with out needing any artifact. This is
where the trick happens, where Lord Severn actually helped destroy the
Ankyrean Order by telling them to go to Her Imperial Majesty's Keep and
steal the artifact that helped in the transformation. Lord Severn then
asked His brother, Lord Arion to assist the Ankyrean Order with their
last fight against Her Imperial Majesty and our kind.

For it truly was their last fight. The only young member of the Conclave
of Art known as Qeddwyn was to make his way into Her Imperial Majesty's
Castle and steal the artifact that allowed this transformation to occur.
They believed this artifact to be what is causing Yrtez to make more of
her kind, and is also what is making us shift forms and transform into
our consanguinic form from our mortal form (masquerade). Qeddwyn
accepted this task, and nervously proceeded to make his way to the
Castle. Guided by Lord Severn Himself, Qeddwyn didn't lose his way.
During this trip Lord Severn appeared to Qeddwyn and told him that this
task would have to be done and it also will result in the end of the age
of Ankyri. Frightened by these words Qeddwyn stopped to think and was
close to refusing the go through. However, he learned that he had no
choice but to proceed, for if he didn't do this, someone else would.

While inside the Keep, Qeddwyn took days to find the secret layer where
Her Imperial Majesty resides. When he stumbled and almost tripped, he
looked around to see if someone noticed him, and Her Imperial Majesty,
Queen Belladona herself was standing across the room and asked him if he
came to join her kind. He pleaded to her to return with him and was
surprised to learn that Lord Severn had helped her find the true
phrases, the true language of Kalsu, and found the right incantation to
perform the Rite. The artifact that Lady Chakrasul had given to Yrtez
was important in the rite, but lost its importance once the rite was
done because they can now create others like themselves without this
artifact. So, when Qeddwyn asked for it, Her Imperial Majesty gave it to
him and sent him away from her presence. Once Qeddwyn woke he was very
upset, naturally and was screaming aloud to Lord Severn, screaming that
He tricked them, He played them and brought about their destruction.
Lord Severn did not promise the Consanguine to rule the land, but their
Order would wither just as the Ankyreans should wither. This was
explained to Qeddwyn that the Ankyreans have become apathetic to mortals
when they were supposed to enlighten them, this is the reason for their
fall. Those led by Yrtez have sought to transgress against the Gods and
seek immortality, both have erred and both will fall. This was the plan
that Lord Arion had, but the consequences are still unforeseen by us.

During the lecture, questions and answeres were brought about and they
are recorded as follows:

Ferow asks, You said Severn gave Yrtez the true phrases, the true
language of Kalsu, and the right incantation. So this means the He was
the one who taught Yrtez Kalsu, not Lady Chakrasul?"

Anashia says, "Lady Chakrasul sparked Lady Yrtez interest towards the
right direction.. and for her, a very pleasant direction."

Alaron says, "The Ankyreans were allowed and urged to destroy themselves
because they had failed to fulfill their purpose, you said that vampires
have partially withered so far, is it also perhaps because they have
failed to fulfill their purpose?"

Ferow says, "That brings rise to another question, just what is our
purpose?"

Alaron says to Ferow, "That is the very question that I believe needs
answering."

Kitari says to Ferow, "You rise a very good question."

Callisto says, "The original purpose was to break the chains of
mortality, out of the Conclave's ambition."

With a slight nod, Kitari demonstrates her understanding.

Alaron says, "I would say that the reason Vampires came to existence was
the search for immortality. That doesn't mean it's their purpose,
purpose is what drives ones actions, the Conasanguinic race has lacked
that as a purpose as a race for a very long time in my opinion."

Ferow says, "Our reason for being is Immortality. But then what after
it? What are we here for? I know that we played a part in destroying the
Ankyrean Order, seeing how Yrtez and her followers destroyed them in the
final battle."

Alaron says, "However I only meant to prompt those present to ponder,
continue with the lecture."

Athala says, "I will be honest and blunt here: The purpose of the
Consanguine race is to recreate and grow in a race, the race came into
existence because of the desire to gain immortality. Yrtez was tricked
into thinking that she would be truely immortal as the Gods, and was
offered a differen version of immortality, or half immortality at that."

The corners of Athala's mouth turn up as she grins mischievously.

Athala asks, "So where did we stop?"

Alaron says, "Withering of Ankyrean order."

This plan that Lord Arion had devised has thus far been a success. This
was a great loss, both to Qeddwyn and to Her Imperial Majesty, Queen
Belladona. Qeddwyn marched into the Citadel to see something that he was
not prepared for...Similarly, miles away, Her Imperial Majesty laminated
the loss of her brood and greatly weakened by their destruction, she
closed the gates to her throne room and awaited for her time to come
again.

This is when everything ended for the Ankyreans and the Consanguine
began to form. We, the Consanguine refer to her as Her Imperial Majesty,
Queen Belladona. If you have ever visited her, you will notice that she
is by far the most deadly of us. She preys on the flesh and blood of
mortal men, while taking women as mates and slaves, making them thralls
of her powerful will.

During this time, Her Imperial Majesty decided to take one Childe,
although she had many servants and thralls, she only has one Childe. He
was chosen because of his reputation to be the hardest worker, most
determined and other very appealing qualities to Her Imperial Majesty,
Queen Belladona. He was known as Abhorash Nehekhara. After being
embraced by Her Imperial Majesty he was known as His Imperial Majesty,
Emperor Abhorash Nehekhara.

The night His Imperial Majesty was embraced he was scared, and in fact,
he was screaming at one point at which his friends, at the time were all
Shallamese, Strung gathered a group of his friends and head out to find
His Imperial Majesty only to be too late. After finding him, His
Imperial Majesty and been already embraced, and this was disappointing
to Strung and his gang. The whole account of this even is recorded in
books now, which you can find in most libraries titled the "First
Embrace", or "An account around the events of the "First Embrace." Note
that after many years, Strung became Consanguine as well.

While these events were occurring, Zsarachnor was beginning to
understand how to create minions, or in other words children of his own,
that lasted more then a few moments. He could never create true childer
because his transformation was only partially successful, but his
minions still populate the lower level of Azdun this day.
So after this, His Imperial Majesty set out to build a city for our
kind, and did so with great pride and tough work. The city never takes
mortals in it unless they were serving the Consanguine. Out of these
mortals, His Imperial Majesty chose four, to take as his own and gift
them with his own Blood. He then embraced Prince Zoharim who was tasked
to form House Bahir'an to foster loyalty and every path that each
chooses. Then Prince Zahmekoses was tasked to forme House Nebre'seir
with the goal of creating a strong fighting force. Prince Paracelsus who
was tasked to form House Voltaire which sought after knowledge and
achieving of power through it and Princess Faith was lastly chosen and
tasked to form House D'baen which was created to foster excellence in
all things and attracted the fiercely loyal individuals in it.

The Houses grew, as did the city, and everything was running smoothly
until the a Grand Duchess, Sired by Her Imperial Highness, Princess
Faith D'baen, known by the name of Kauller began coming into view. Grand
Duchess Kauller D'baen has always been interested in power and politics.
She was a member of the Cabalists when they were known as Occulists, and
the guild feared that she used them as a stepping stone to please the
Consanguine. When Her Imperial Highness' appearances became fewer and
each slumber was longer than the last, Her Imperial Grace Kauller- at
the time, sought after the control of House D'baen. Shortly after, too
much bickering was happening between Her Highness and her childe Grand
Duchess Kauller, so, the matter was taken to His Imperial Majesty,
Emperor Abhorash Nehekhara. He wisely concluded that Grand Duchess
Kauller will not be taking control of House D'baen and she may create
her own House as a Princess. He re-embraced her and granted her the
permission to create a House. He announced her as his fifth and last
Childe and afforded her what was afforded to her brethrens.

Sadly, only shortly after this Her Imperial Highness, Princess Kauller
Bouchard began plotting to remove His Imperial Majesty from his throne
and seat herself. After the plot was played out and His Majesty was
ousted from the Imperial City of Bloodloch many of those loyal to him
left wit him. Some Houses were able to return to the city and some
refused to return. D'baen became the only Royal House which remind in
Bloodloch as it was mostly inactive after the loss of members who went
to House Bouchard. With that two other Houses were founded including
House Shinta'moryu and House De'ker'tu in the city of Bloodloch and the
Royal Houses became known as rogue for awhile for the city of Bloodloch.

Ferow says, "With regard to the construction of Bloodloch... who built
the City? From historical documents, His Imperial Majesty was found in
Bloodloch shortly after he was embraced. He couldn't have possibly built
the underground city within the span of a night, could he?"

Alaron nods his head at Ferow.

Lucimal says, "I thought Dwarves built our city."

Alaron says, "The dwarves who built the Paladin and Priest guildhalls
claimed to have built Bloodloch and been forced out by Abhorash and his
Childr."

Ferow looks about himself, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.

Alaron says, "That being the whole reason they aided the Paladins and
Priests in the construction, in order to aide them in their fight
against Bloodloch, which at the time was constant and ongoing."

The Royal houses angry and seeking to retake what was rightfully theirs
joined on the side of Ashtan during the Bloodloch/Ashtan war. During
which time arises much of the anger of some of the Bloodlochian houses
at the Royal houses which are outside of the city. Between the aid in
battle and the releasing of the Queen inside of the city of Bloodloch
itself which the citizens decided to forget the teachings and slew our
Queen repeatedly to remove her presence. Though the war ended as all did
before the war system as nothing could be forced the rift between the
two had widened.

The next step large step in the history of the Consanguine was the
creation of the Imperium under the three princes of the royal houses and
eventually the addition of Prince Lucien upon his elevation to the rank.
The Imperium became the center of Consanguine culture above Bloodloch
which had for many years housed half of our kind the Imperium now held
us all in a single body. Such is how it stands to date, Prince
Zahmekoses reigns as Emperor of the Imperium which has now taken quite a
lot of the former rogues in making them a house minor in the Imperium.

Until this day now, rogues roam the land, and it is rumored that
something huge will happen to us Consanguine, after so much experiments
the results have come about nowadays and are visible to our eyes yet
very secretive.
