Greetings Sapience,
Me and a friend have been working on a personal project for a while now,
and although I haven't much time to spend on it till recently, I have
now decided to take the next step in it development. The idea is to
found and distribute a newspaper of sapience. It will be called "The
Sapience Gazette" and it probably be sold once per aetolian year and
will include news, reportages, features, interviews, gossip and various
useful advice. Some time ago I tried to recruit a fixed staff to make
the paper, but the strong flux in the population of this realm made this
task senseless. So for now this paper is very much dependant on the
participation of whoever is capable and interested in writing something
for it. If we do not get any writings I fear that this project will just
silently wither and die. We'll also need to charge a resonable sum
(currently estimated around 500 gold) for a copy of the paper, we need
this money to pay for the printing and to pay the people who contribute
articles to the paper.
If you think a newspaper for Aetolia is a good idea you can help us in
various ways:
a) Buy the paper when it's done and encourage others to do so as well
b) We're looking for people who would like to participate and invest
time in the making of the paper. If you think that working for a
newspaper is something you always wanted to give a try, send me a
message and we'll do a personal in-depth interview.
c) If you witness something interesting or have something interesting to
say or report or comment, write an article and message it to me. If it's
good and we print it we'll pay for it.
d) Donations of wood, money, manpower or credits are more then welcome
and will greatly help to make this work.
e) If you run a shop and are not happy with the low numbers of customers
or the fact that you can't always be on the market to praise your wares,
if you feel that your guild or clan is underrepresented and in need of
new members or if you just want to send a special "I love you" message
to someone, we'll be selling advertising space in the paper. Just
contact me about it.
f) And last but not least: any sort of constructive criticism about the
project or the paper when it's done is very welcome.
