Greetings, Aetolians
As there has been much discussion about Ashtan lately, I felt it
necessary to clear up a few points.
First, Ashtan is a growing city. We need time to establish many things
and meet and overcome all of the obstacles in our path to making this
city into what it should be. What people appear to be misled about is
the idea that Ashtan has any other serious motivations aside from
rebuilding this city so that people can have a new home. There are other
goals and motivations as well, such as building strong relationships
with the other cities so that we may interact peacefully for the mutual
benefit of our citizens.
The city is not going to be shaped only by the ruling council, because
the ruling council never makes up the entirety of a city. The citizens
are the largest part of the city, and the invitation has been sent out
to guilds who wish to help us in defining just what Ashtan is. The
current ruling council is in place so that we may help the city steer
towards a good, strong future without any taint of corruption or hatred.
As Rosalind asked, "...why bother doing anything at all?" Well, I hope
it is clear that we do this for the recreation of a city, and to help it
prosper into a multicultural hub for Sapience. I'm sure the Overseer
will share a word as well.
For the betterment of Ashtan, and the building of a new home...
