It turns out no one else is willing to take a stand on this issue but
the Sentinels, and Talgon concludes that the Sentinels are the ones that
won't stand on principles.

The affair does not (and never could) be of any benefit to the
Sentinels, and actually just brings hassle, and Knick concludes that we
act only in our self interests.
