The Stand of the Light

Dear Osifer,
You claim the light will always be triumphant, I am not here to banter
over simple terms we give to overwhelming ideas. Yet, I come to this
forum to point out how the Light already begins to falter.
Your son, Aren, a vampire who 'accepted' the Light, has vanished from
the realm. Does this not instill in you a sadness? A sense of Despair
that will always be with you whenever you are reminded of your departed
son? It is that Despair that will cause the Light to be unable to stand
against the encroaching Darkness. It is that Despair that causes
weakness in others, and gives me strength. That feeling will spread and
with it the Light will weaken, and the Darkness grow stronger.
As for your idea of a Bastion of Light, the stronger the Light stands
the more prevalent Corruption is. Those who deny their innermost
desires, who deny that they most wish to do, only sow in themselves the
seeds of Corruption. The greater the difference between ones actions and
ones desires, the more potential Corruption will have when it's power is
truly released. Those of us who aspire to the Singularity know of this
truth, and accept our desires, and indulge in them, our strength is not
sapped by an inner battle against that which we most want, instead we
can devote ourselves wholly to our goals.
So you see by your very resistance, you bring about your own fall.
May the folly of the Light continue,
Alaron Laurn
