I need to stress a few things in addition to what Kanya said. Firstly,
your lack of knowledge is not a reason to go about calling my wife a
whore. If, however, you wish to use your perception as a reason to call
her one, by all means do so. Don't expect that I will shrug it off,
however. Unlike a few others I could rattle off quite easily, I do not
need to hide behind my guild to stand by my beliefs, my values, and my
standards. This particular matter has no importance to the Daru.
Secondly, you were insulted. I've killed over insults before, if they
were enough to warrant such. I was also killed by a group of 13 for
killing someone for as much. I did not complain, I did not whine, and I
did not appeal to a higher authority for this, because I knew that was
one possible outcome for what I'd chosen to do. Everything we do has a
consequence. If you cannot accept the consequences of your actions, you
should think before taking action next time.
In addition, I need to point out an important fact of life - "Two wrongs
don't make a right." Instead of angering an entire guild (which I'm sure
you don't care about, but bear with me), you could've simply spoken with
leadership about it and explain what happened, and I assure you it
would've been resolved. If you think Saradin did not get in trouble for
his "offenses" against you, you are mistaken. If you think he simply
complained and said "the big mean ruud hit me, kill it," you are again
mistaken. Because you decided not to follow a simple procedure - one I
thought was common sense to most, and didn't need to be explained - you
will face the consequences. It cannot be explained any simpler than
this.
