The Luminaries stand for light, and oppose darkness, at *ALL* times. We
don't recognise "seasonal friendship" where we can be friends when we
aren't landmarking against each other. We aren't buddies during the
off-season with Necromancers, and we dont sunggle up to vampires as soon
as they leave a landmark room. If someone allies or befriends darkness,
then don't expect us to hold them in anything but contempt.
Illpalazzo was a priest of little note in Enorian when the war broke
out. The RL paid for training so that he was capable of accessing
Nirvana and delivering those of good to be slaughtered, something he did
throughout the war. He wasn't fighting for his city, or beliefs, he
fought for reward, against those opposed to the scortched earth tactics
employed by Ashtan.
He used the skills of light and goodness to aid evil. He continues to
use those skills to aid evil and darkness, thus he is an enemy to the
champions of the Light.
Luminaries will continue to disrupt rites carried out by corrupted
priests, they will continue to defend the innocent, and will continue to
oppose the dark.
That said, there have been some novices in the guild who chose to
torture vampires cowering in the darkness, by chasing them into the
daylight and laughing at their bursting into flames. This isn't
acceptable Luminary behaviour, and those concerned have been dealt with.
