construction of sanctoriums

Greetings, friends of Mrenadh.

With the passing of winter into spring, I have been able to turn my
attention to the submissions you made last year for the construction of
sanctoriums. After days of meditation and prayer on your ideas, and in
consultation with the elders of my village, I have made my decision.

A pair of sanctorium designs was submitted by Osifer Ryokus, one for the
inhabitants of the island of Ulangi and one for a secluded place in the
Vashnar mountains, both of which were quite exceptional. In addition, an
equally impressive design for a somewhat larger sanctorium on the cliffs
near Shastaan was submitted by Rosalind Thetis.

Through our devotion to the Gods, we wish to encourage both of these
projects, and we shall gladly provide seventy-five thousand sovereigns
to both designers, as I announced last year. However, because Osifer's
project includes two sanctoriums and Rosalind's a large one in a
hard-to-access location, I am no longer convinced that this amount of
gold will be enough to see either project to completion. I shall let the
two designers decide whether they want to seek supplementary funds, or
whether either wishes to diminish their design or to defer to the other.

I also wish to recognize Kiyotan McCloud, who submitted a beautiful
design but one beyond the abilities of even our best craftspeople to
create, and Raechan Tercetto for her truly extensive proposal for an
entire hall of devotion. Such a hall is far beyond the means of a simple
village like Mrenadh - I suspect only one of the largest Cities in
Sapience would have the resources to construct such a vast place of
worship.

Congratulations to Osifer and Rosalind, and blessings upon all who
designed potential sanctoriums upon hearing my call to devotion. May the
Gods look favorably down upon you.

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Ios, in the year 136 MA.
