Lottery

In an effort to raise funds for Bloodloch's arena, I have obtained the
permission of The Keeper to hold a lottery.

This lottery will be slightly different than the ones normally held in
Delos, as it will be slightly more flexible. Before I get into that, let
me explain the rules.

Tickets will be purchased by sending me a letter including your name,
number of tickets you want to buy, and the numbers on the tickets you
wish to request. Please include in the letter 1,500 sovereigns for each
of the tickets you wish to buy. I request that you use this format, or
something like it:

Lottery Ticket Request
Name: Seric
For: Zoriah
Tickets: 1
Ticket 1: 223981

Sending out more than one request is welcomed, but please try to send
out the request after you've saved some sovereigns. Ie. no sending 30
requests for 1 ticket each please! 🙂

Each lottery ticket will have six numbers on them, each number being
between 1 and 9. An example of the numbers you can choose would be 1, 2,
3, 4, 5, 6.

I will try to send out bills of sale on your ticket purchases as quickly
as possible.

If the numbers you requested are already chosen, or invalid, you will
receive a message from me saying so.

The drawing will occur within five months of the beginning of the
lottery. Five numbers will be chosen at random, and the holder of the
ticket that has the most correct numbers on theirs will be the winner.
In the highly unlikely event of a tie, a three-lap race around
Bloodloch's center circle will determine the winner.

The grand prize will be in the form of credits, directly proportional to
the amount of tickets sold: The more tickets you all buy, The bigger the
prize.

This lottery will be more flexible than a Delos lottery in that we do
not require the Divine to host it. We can give out lottery tickets out
as prizes for beetling contests, or trivia prizes. Also, since Delos is
not hosting it, not all of Sapience will know of it. Using this system,
you will be able to enter your House or clan, by buying tickets for the
organization itself.

Please do not send out your letters until I post that the lottery has
begun. The project is currently listed under the BBC, but I hope to get
it listed under Bloodloch so that all citizens can read who has how many
tickets.

This is, to my knowledge, the first lottery of its kind in Bloodloch.
Any questions/comments/suggestions are welcome. Remember, this is for
the good of Bloodloch, so begin saving that gold for when the lottery
opens!

Thank you for your time,
-Duke Seric D'baen

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Severin, in the year 134 MA.
