A thank you

Greetings, Sapience.

Last month, I found myself mired in a situation with my city, my guild,
and my one time friend, Van. Over the course of about two days, Van and
I both died three times in a senseless battle, of which nothing came but
bloodshed, hatred, and an ever-spiraling cycle of violence.

However, the point of this post is not to speak of what transpired.

Today, I am proud to spend the gold required to thank my friends, those
who stood by me when I needed them most. There is only so much one
person can take in a certain period of time, and I honestly feel that
without their help, I would not be here to write this post.

Thank you, Reecillia, Dexter, my son Iseldor, and Josephina, for
refusing to leave my side, even when I lost my mind and began ignoring
you, or, even worse, telling you to leave me alone, that I was fine by
myself. While you all respected my wishes and let me fight my own
battle, you stubbornly refused to leave my side when I thought I was
going mad. I have done nothing to deserve such devotion from such good
people. I am truly blessed to count you all as friends.

I also want to thank my friend and lover, Khaiterra. Though she was not
in the realms at the time of the incident, she was there to listen to me
rant, and rave, and scream in utter frustration and helplessness. And
when I was finished, completely drained from my catharsis, she asked me
quietly, "Well, what are you going to do?"

She is my voice of reason, of sanity, and it's why I love her.

Thank you once again, my friends. You deserve so much more than this,
but it's a start, and a way to show how much what you did for me means.

In Honour and Strength,
Sir Fortenrus Kal'Adun
