The Shrines of Mrenadh

Greetings of the Gods to you, sisters and brothers. For two months now
you have been visiting our village, and we marvel at the vastness of the
world and at the variety of its inhabitants, both of which have been
hidden from us for so long, ever since the "Grand Artifice", as we have
learned your name for the mists that enclosed us. With solemnity and
welcome we offered our village's two shrines to the Gods whose followers
show the greatest devotion. I have spoken to Jaisagh, and I have spoken
to Zeaey, and the outcome is now decided.
Representatives of six Gods and Goddesses took up our humble challenges
and displayed their devotion. We welcomed those who serve Lady Lleis and
Lord Haern and congratulate their successes in both of our challenges.
The followers of Lord Arion were even more visible, with great
quantities of offerings as well as a correct response given to Zeaey.
We recognize with joy the power of Lord Rahn, one of whose servants
gained our admiration with her offerings that exceeded those of any
other; even more, His worshippers were most numerous in their offerings,
and also handed to our historian two correct responses. We also
compliment the wisdom of Lady Niuri, whose followers were thrice
accurate in the historical challenge, and gifted us with an homage to
our own history more generally as well; in addition, Her servants'
offerings were also plentiful.
However, it is with delight and wondrous adulation that we praise Lady
Slyphe for the devotion of her followers. With constancy and love they
brought their offerings to our sacrificial shrine, outpacing the other
sects with a margin impressive. And with racing minds they brought a
pair of correct responses to Zeaey at the contemplative shrine,
including the all-important first successful entry.
Yesterday we gathered in the streets to call upon our own devotion, and
we converted the two pantheistic shrines into sacred places of the
Goddess of the Seas. Such is the force of your devotion that one of the
shrines was hurled a significant distance up Paradise Street from our
general store, which caused in our hearts great joy and awe.
I would be remiss if I did not express our gratitude for the bounteous
donations which you have already given to my father out of your
goodness. Meyrkar has distributed some of these rations and materials
already, and rest assured that we will not forget you who share your
wealth with us. When the approaching winter passes and we are sure that
we are past the worst of our need, we will make good upon this debt to
the organizations who have sent their donors to us. In the meantime, we
welcome you to Mrenadh and ask that you listen to your hearts when you
speak to my father and to the recordkeeper about the prosperity of our
home.
The blessings of the Gods to you all, and may Their peace lie over our
next meeting.
