First off, the Occultists have had the 'link' ability for a very long
time. It just hasn't been available for use up until now. Let's face it,
without this skill, all the new "changes" to "even" things out in
regards to the skills of the Occultists, they would take the cake for
being the worst guild ever created. They would make Vampires and the
Syssin look like organizations of demi-gods. If we're complaining about
evening things out, lets start with the Lumination abilities. With one
ability they virtually nullify the entire Sanguis skill set. Or, if they
can't be bothered using this skill, Luminaries can simply kill most
people in two or three smites. Up until now, I've kept quiet; I've
ignored all the crying and whining from the Alliance members, and other
idiots. "Oh, they are overpowered. They managed to kill me! That
shouldn't be allowed!" Stop crying. I have to deal with the worst
abilities in this realm. I manage to survive somehow. If you die,
perhaps it's because, for the lack of a better term, you suck.

Almost all Syssin skills can be stopped either with a skullcap aura, or
simply a web tattoo. Vampires can't even get a feed anymore. The
transfix, web, breathe, and feed combination is now too slow, even for a
Rajamalan Vampire to do. Ask a Vampire about their skills, all 15 in
each skill set (or about less then 10 if you ignore the ones that are in
other skill sets available to the public [such as vision or survival]).
We can only fight for 10 minutes, even with concentration up, and then
we are out of blood and die. Our Transcendent mentis skill is that slow,
we can get off three frenzies and three whispers in the time of one
doublewhisper. If you want to whine about skills being overpowered, have
a look at yourself and your Daru or Luminary friends. Ask yourself,
without their skills, if they were say a Vampire, a Syssin, or an
Occultist, would they be a good fighter? The answer is no. Stop whining,
stop your crying. If it's too much for you to handle, if thinking up
ways to survive and kill people is too much. Simply dont fight. Asking
people to mouth-feed you is childish, grow up.
