Addressed to: Everyone
Eshu, dear Eshu. I probably should let you off, seeing as you obviously
didn't read my post very well, maybe you just skimmed over it, saw the
occasional word and figured that you had the gist of things. You're
wrong, like I said very clearly down the bottom, take your time
responding to my post, that way you won't look like a complete and utter
idiot. But hey, it's not my fault you don't listen to my advice, after
all, that'd be smart.
Firstly, according to your 'logic', my personal views on yourself, being
similar to how you view Ashtan, "a pit of depressing stagnancy, a blot
upon the land which knows no progress." You don't change, do you? What
have you done differently in the last half of your life? Like you said
to me when you agreed to be a spy for The Legion, "I've followed Slyphe
and Bloodloch all my life, I've never done anything differently." Wow
that sounds sort of like stagnation, it also sounds pretty depressing if
you ask me. Now, I consider you a pathetic weak little man, or in other
words, a "blot upon the land which knows no progress." Does that mean
I'm allowed to hunt you down until you feel the need to spend your
remaining years in torpor? No, that'd make me a thug, now wouldn't it?
How is it any different for you, Lady Slyphe, Bloodloch or any other
member of the 'alliance'? Like I said, you should think before you write
a reply.
Secondly, you claim that we take valuable lands and commodities that
other cities require for themselves, this supposedly makes us "a taker,
a hoarder and a user." Let me get this straight, you're all at war with
Ashtan because you're angry it didn't give you the things it earned for
itself or because you can't get your own things? We don't have guilds,
we don't need guards for guilds. Your cities are happy with your guilds
and the fact you have to pay to keep them. That's great, be happy that
your city has to pay extra gold to keep its friends and allies. I think
your main argument, if it was actually an argument at all, was we're
greedy. We take for our own cause, that's right? Wow, you're different?
You claim you're innocent of this because you take your commodities to
buy guards to protect your guilds, so they in return can create
enchantments and the like for you at a cheaper price. That's not greedy
or self-serving, now is it?
Lastly, Eshu. In this currently conflict, The Legion is fulfilling an
original treaty and deal with the City of Ashtan. We, unlike Shallam,
Bloodloch and Duiran, keep our past treaties and treat them with
respect. Apart from that, your concerns and questions regarding us, our
history and our future has little importance. "I might not like the
luminaries or Shallam, but as a Slyphian I commend them for their
works." Ok, I have to admit, I'm a little confused here, you're proud of
them because you're Slyphian? What's that got to do with anything? Plus,
what is it Shallam or the Luminary have done? They joined forces with
the 'evil' and 'dark' cities and guilds of this realm in an attempt to
defeat a neutral city? Wow, that's nice stuff. Feel proud, commend their
work, it's obviously worth it.
Now, Irawn, see the top paragraph, remove Eshu's name and apply yours.
It'll save me the effort of saying it all over again to you. Let's see,
I highly doubt that Talgon speaks like that, at any time, I speak with
him and he seems to manage coherent well phrased sentences all the time.
But, just for arguments sake, I'll pretend you're right and he speaks
like that. Now, since when is Talgon apart of the Legion? He's fought
along side us, he's helped us and we've helped him. To simple minds,
that may imply that he's actually a Legionnaire, but well, to set the
story straight he's not a Legionnaire. I think in the past, the main
Legion members have proven we're quiet capable of structured sentences,
this post, my last post and in fact, all of our posts are this way, feel
free to have a perusal through them.
We excel at non-conventional war tactics and loopholes? What is that?
We've fought your side with equal numbers, we've fought with numbers
severely in your sides favour. We win. Unlike your side, we actually try
to think of ways to out-smart, out-wit and eventually defeat our
enemies. As far as I'm aware, none of Ashtan's soldiers have severed
their soul link to this realm in the middle of a one on one,
'honourable' fight. Can your side say the same? No. Get over the fact
that you need over half of the realm just to be close to even grounds
with The Legion.
On another note, Irawn, you obviously didn't read my post at all. I
didn't ask people why they are at war with -me-. I don't care if you
think I'm cocky. In fact I don't care what you think of Alastra's head
or Spirokai's soul, you should keep these little fantasies or whatever
they are in your own mind, we don't need to hear about them. The
question I asked was why are people at war with -Ashtan-. So far I've
gotten ambiguous answers, most related to me being cocky, which of
course has nothing to do with the City of Ashtan.
Everyone, remember what I said in my last post. You may think you're
witty, funny, cool even strong. You are wrong. You're not any of those,
you're an idiot. Think long and hard before you write a reply post. Long
doesn't mean the minute and a half Eshu spent on his post, nor the
twenty seconds Irawn spent on his.
