Public News Post #18

betrayed by my own guild

Written by: Constance

Addressed to: Everyone

I'll start at the beginning
I joined the druid guild. Nobody spoke to me (more than to say hi and a
lot of OOC stuff) nobody taught me, I learned from Epicurus. They didn't
have a gm or secs, but they had Sceverus, head of novices...I never
spoke to him, he didn't offer any advice or ask if I needed anything. I
found one day that I had been promoted out of novicehood, I had no idea
why. I learned to harvest ash and went to try out my new skill.
Unfortunately, in my ignorance I overharvested in a few rooms and
shortly afterwards was bombarded with tells from Sentinels, mainly (but
not only) Arafel who was extremely rude and bombastic. She told me I
ought to speak with my GM about it.
As we had no GM at the time, I spoke to Esper and it was decided that as
long as I didn't do it any more everything would be ok. Shortly after
this I had to leave but on my return, I found that I had been
outguilded. This, as you know results in the loss of half my lessons. So
now, I wander the realm guildless with next to no lessons, pondering
what I ought to do next. Soon I received a message to contact Esper,
which I did. I said I had been asked to contact him and the reply I got
from him was 'right'...after another quarter day had passed I had no
other message from him, so I contacted another member of the guild who
informed me a mistake had been made and offered to inguild me again.
He advised me to suicide and offered to hold my equipment for me, I
declined the offer as it is no easy task to get to level 26 (which I am
now)
It turns out that Esper had outguilded me under pressure from Arafel and
the Druid's own head of novices, Sceverus...wow, he really deserves that
position doesn't he? And a GM I can't trust? Secs who advise me to
suicide? No thanks...I won't be rejoining.

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Haernos, in the year 53 MA.
