Addressed to: Everyone
Attention, multitudinous peoples of Sapience. In response to the recent
events occuring in our lands, I have a few things I felt it was
neccesary to bring to light, and I'm sure that many of you will find at
least some of what I have to say interesting.
Some time ago, when I was in Chakrasul's order, I was the equal highest
Order Rank member. This allowed me to be privvy to some fairly sensitive
information in regards to the plans and schemes of Chakrasul. At one
stage, she actually informed us of how "My Sister Slyphe and Myself have
decided to form an Alliance for my next attack. Slyphe believes that
Entropy is just a form of change, and of course, Change is a neccesary
part of Corruption."
Now, that little tidbit isn't terribly interesting, until you factor in
what I was later told. It was revealed to us that Chakrasul had plans to
acquire Matronship of Bloodloch, in order to more easily manipulate
existing mutual-defence pacts with Duiran (Under Slyphe's control) and
from there, attack either the city of Ashtan or the city of Shallam. The
choice of those two cities was explained thusly: Chakrasul has a fairly
large force of Nazetu awaiting her further order on a nearby island, and
when I say large, I am talking much larger than last invasion. Being
that they are on a nearby island, they need to land via the sea, and
Shallam and Ashtan are the only cities with suitable ports for this to
happen.
Evidently, she chose Ashtan as her point of invasion, and I imagine in
the very near future there will be a large amount of Nazetu invading and
wrecking havoc upon Ashtan. The plan was to capture one of these two
port cities in order to use as a naval exchange point to ship even more
Nazetu to Sapience, and from there, the city of Spinesreach would be
targetted next. With Ashtan fallen, the forces of Bloodloch, Duiran,
(And obviously now evident some guilds under Slyphe's control) combined
with the Nazetu, would march on the City of Spinesreach, and would
easily be able to breach its' walls. Once the city of Spinesreach had
fallen, the treasure trove of Ankryean Knowledge would be able to be
used to prepare the troops for the final destination (which at the time
was specified as whichever city remained standing, which we can now see
is Shallam).
The forces of Corruption would then control all of sapience.
Where did Slyphe stand to gain in all of this? Well, her material gain
was that she would be allowed to regain control of Shallam, and most of
the east cost (possibly flooding it, I do not know). Possibly, the east
coast would be flooded to make way for an undersea city, I am not sure.
At this time, we would truly be in the midnight age, with the city of
Bloodloch ruling all of sapience under the guiding hand of Chakrasul. At
that point, with such a control, Bloodloch's resources would be
immeasurable, and no turning around of that control would be possible
owing to such.
You can see the wheels of this plan turning now, with Slyphe's
declaration of war on Ashtan. I do find it ironic that Slyphe would turn
the wrath of her anger onto Ashtan for "Stagnation" rather than inwards
to Duiran, which as many would agree is the most stagnant and corrupt
cesspool in all of Sapience. Obviously, I cannot know the true motives
behind her actions, but owing to what I know, I can easily predict that
her reasons are rather thin in substance, and are motivated by potential
gain.
Lady Slyphe, I served you for a full 19 years of my life, and in that
time, I loved you. Your realm was thriving, and your goals were pure.
But, towards the end of that time, you were wounded by a creature of
Shadow, and since then, you were never the same...you cared less about
the cycles of Change, and more about temporal power. I believe that the
power of those shadows warped your mind, and now I believe that Lady
Chakrasul has done what she does best: Corrupted you. She has twisted
your mind to her goals, just as she twists us all.
One thing I find especially ironic is something that all of the forces
so far seem to have said in their public posts declaring their military
action against Ashtan. "Ashtan is the biggest pool of Corruption and
Favouritism in Sapience". Now, lets just think about this for a second.
Bloodloch has actively EMBRACED corruption as their guide! Bloodloch is
working alongside the army of corruption, and their plans are to take
over ALL of sapience! Does this not alarm you?! Actually, I must say,
kudos to you Lady Chakrasul, you are still doing what you've done best.
One of the lessons you taught us in the Order was to always try and make
someone else look like the bad guy, and you have made the forces of
Corruption look like the warriors against it! Good job.
One thing I cannot comprehend, though, is the Druid's involvement. Lady
Slyphe turned her back on the Druids for many years, and allowed a
corrupt and stagnant leadership to rule unchallengable, but Rosalind
changed all that. She did it without the help of Lady Slyphe, and she
has continued to do it. She was the best thing that happened to the
Druids, and it hurts me to see her take the guild I loved for over 40
years of my life and throw it alongside the forces of darkness.
Think about it this way: It is okay for Lady Slyphe to declare war on
Ashtan, BUT, Lady Slyphe has no troops. The only party that can actually
capture land in Ashtan, is Bloodloch, the forces of Corruption and
Darkness. If you want to elicit change in Ashtan, is it really the best
way to do it to let it fall to the forces of darkness and corruption
that wish to take over the entire realm? Or is it best to fight your war
on grounds that does not advantage the Corrupt ones? Its your choice,
but know that this is quite possibly the most important decision made in
all the history of Sapience: Will the forces of Darkness and Evil reign
supreme?
At a later point in my involvement in Chakrasul's order, I was also made
aware that Haern had been written into the pact of invasion, as his goal
is the destruction of all civilization. This triumvirate of Gods was to
spearhead the multi-stage invasion plans of sapience, and it was they
who were to reign supreme at the culmination of all this.
Recently, Bloodloch made a post updating their citizens on the war. As
in any war, most of it was fairly propaghanda-like in nature. A
particular paragraph stood out to me though:
A shame for Ashtan, that they must enlist the help of a God in their
weakness, no? Stand firm with the filth of the Nazetu, citizens. Their
stench is nothing compared to that of Spirokai and his pathetic Renegade
Legion.
Which God have we enlisted in our help, Bloodloch? We had no God
directly playing their hand in our part. In fact, we were winning. We
had began to capture into your territory, and had killed 600 of your
troops while losing less than 100 of our own. We had killed all your
guards, and we had gotten access to every area of your city. Your
militia were being Slaughtered in the streets of Bloodloch, and anywhere
else they chose to congregate (Except, notably, Lady Slyphe's temple,
where they did hide alot). Then, as planned, Slyphe curses all of the
Ashtan militia, and we know she will renew it as soon as it wears off.
Simultaneously, all your militia gets favors, making your forces
boosted. You couldn't win with tactics, you couldn't win with strategy,
you couldn't win by using your brains, so it seems that it is you, my
friends, that are the weak ones who need to hide behind a God.
Lady Slyphe has cursed us for one reason: She knows that the combined
might of her forces, and of Bloodlochs', still cannot succeed against
Ashtan's milita. As such, she feels the need to remove their ability to
use their abilities. This is because she, and her people, are weak. If
they truly believed in the cause, they would fight us on just terms, but
they wont, because they know they can't win.
One way to stop this is to destroy Lady Slyphe's essence, a fact she is
well aware of. As such, she will have all her pawns heavily slaughtering
and offering, so it would be almost impossible for anyone to defile her
to a point where she would stop. Another soloution, then, is to stand
behind the Gods helping Ashtan! For now, Khepri and Arion have put their
favor on those whom Slyphe has violated, but owing to essence
restrictions, they wont be able to forever! I urge you, the neutral
citizens of this conflict, don't let one side have such an unfair
advantage: Offer to Khepri, Severn and Arion all you can.
There is something you can do. All of you can offer to Khepri, Severn or
Arion, and this will not bring you under the fire of any of the forces
of the war (or at least, it shouldn't, under Universally accepted rules
of such things). Your support, however small, even if it is just a quick
comment of acknowledgement of support, will give Strength to those
fighting against Corruption, and allow us to hold them at bay for
another day. Do all you can.
To the city of Spinesreach, and Shallam, we ask of you this: Why will
you not come to our aide now, while we have a chance of stopping these
forces, instead of after Ashtan in destroyed, when they will surely set
their eyes on your cities next. Shallam, please recognise that the
forces of Darkness, that which you specifically oppose, is bent on the
domination of this continent. Why will you not help us now?
Lady Slyphe, I have a question for you. Should Ashtan actually change,
and grow, in the experience of fighting off your forces, and actively
set upon a course of further change, would you end your war then? Or are
you to focused on the temporal power?
Everyone who values their virtue, and does not want to be a servant of
Corruption, really should help out. To the other divine out there,
please Help us, if you do not want these two to own all of sapience. If
they have gods behind them, we can do the same. All is not lost until we
lose hope, and hope is something we have plenty of.
Stay uncorrupted, Sapience. Please?

P.S. I find it absoloutley disgusting that members of guilds such as the
Luminaries are fighting against Ashtan in this wr. Regardless of the
validity of Haern or Slyphe's involvement, the ones who will in the end
benefit from this war is Bloodloch, the force of corruption and darkness
you are supposedly trying to combat. If the warriors of light want the
Midnight age to reach its peak, we're doomed.
But then again, how can we fight against the logic and pure arguementive
genious of Slyphe's finest when they give us little dities like this one
I was told earlier:
My Nephew Richard told Reyshak, regarding his organisation of the theft
of keys to Ashtan places, the following, "Dont you find that your moral
code as a luminary is soiled by being involved in such activities as
thievary." tpo which our resident genious responded, ""Don't you find
that you should shut the hell up?"
