Public News Post #1736

Were you already afraid you were going to lose?

Written by: Severn, the Artificer

Addressed to: Slyphe, Lady of the Storms

For many years, Sister, I have trailed you as you made these plans to
invade Ashtan. I listened in, hidden from Your eyes as you discussed
with the Divine Whore your unholy alliance and you gave your various
reasons why you wanted the city of Ashtan to fall.

I never expected that She would rub off on you so soon and you would
Despair that you were going to lose. The Ashtan Militia has fought
bravely and loyally to their cause. Since your 29 guilds and
organizations that support you couldn't actually defeat them, you went
ahead and cursed them all, so it might be a fair chance in a competition
of 29 organizations to 10 individuals.

I am amazed that these guilds play the part of your pawns so easily. I
am also amazed that your Divine interference isn't also untolerated.

I now enter this war, Slyphe, only to stop your meddling in mortal
affairs. Do not try to pretend like you ever paid attention to Ashtan
beyond what Ysni told you. You never sought to step in as their patron
and lead them, and you never lent them a helping hand when they wandered
astray.

Mortals of Aetolia, remember that the Goddess of Seas has her own
agenda. She may hide it behind the mantle of 'stagnation', but if She
really wished for stagnation to be forever wiped from the lands, why did
She align herself with the Goddess of Corruption and Decay and
Stagnation?

Severn, Lord of Artifice

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Midautumn, in the year 122 MA.
