Writing Contest

Written by: Sir Arxalant Keian, Heart of Valor

Addressed to: Everyone

Good and evil. Light and darkness. These terms are bandied about freely
in Sapience, and certainly they mark some of the greatest ideological
differences among Aetolians. Often, however, the literal and figurative
meanings are confused, and true good and evil are buried under the
weight of implications and agendas.

On behalf of the Maer'lin Tenshi, I propose a writing contest. Write an
essay on what 'goodness' and 'light' mean to you, and how the words
apply to the realities of Aetolian life. Submissions will be judged on
how thoughtful and insightful they are, not by style or length. Send
your entry to me on a letter by the first of Midsummer, 122 MA. Be sure
to include your name!

Please include an entry fee of 1000 gold with your submission. The
winner will receive half of the total money brought in, while the
remaining half will be donated to Shallam to support its efforts to
uphold the light. So write yourself and get your friends to enter the
contest too, because the more who enter, the more you could win and the
more goes to the Jewel of the East.

I eagerly await your words of wisdom!

In the Light,
Arxalant Keian

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Slyphian, in the year 121 MA.
