Greetings Aetolians,
I actually find myself agreeing with Lord Severn in this matter, there
are in fact many things that we did not know about the time of the
Ankyreans. This certainly has the possibility of being one of those
things. Beyond that, we may be looking at things from an age before
their emergence into the realm. Qeddwyn knows a lot, but not everything
about that time or before it. Hopefully my research and slow
translations will come up with more conclusive answers for us.
In regards to that research, I wish to apologise as it appears my
translation was greviously in err. This text is like none I have ever
seen before, and I am effectively trying to translate based off of an
ancient Trollish dialect I know but a bit of from my youth. You see, I
found an old text which still retained some legibility. It was a treaty
detailing farming permissions, nothing too interesting, save that it was
written in two languages. The first was this Trollish dialect which died
out nearly a millenia ago, the other was in this new language I was
unfamiliar with. I've been able to translate, using this, to a small
degree. It is tedious and a difficult task (especially considering it is
two dead languages I am working with), but it is quickly becoming
easier.
Anyway, the point of all that is that my research has shown that
"hashan" was not in fact referring to the city by which we use that name
today. Rather it was a word in the language which I have yet to
determine the meaning of. Contextually, it could mean home, it could
mean many things. When I figure it out, I will be sure to let you all
know so we may figure out exactly what it means.
