Garador,

I understand what you are saying, for the most part. I do have a few
questions for you though. What action has the city leadership taken to
oust the sentaari. What decisions have we made without the cities input?
Why is it that the subject came up in the first place...as a Vizier and
citizen I do not recall hearing of the iminent departure of the
Sentaari. I think it funny that you should say that the Paladins,
Luminaries and Daru run the city. If you recall there are only 5 vizier
spots and we have ministers from outside of those 3 guilds. We are a
democracy, as are the rest of the cities here, and those in charge were
put there by the citizens. I haven't a clue why you decided to leave,
truly, or why you feel that bashing the city you came from makes you
more of a man. I do, however, know that you forfeited your right to
attempt to affect change when you walked away. If you dont want to be a
citizen and stand and defend the city then you have no reason or right
to try and help it make decisions or point it in the direction YOU feel
is best. Again, Shallam supports and defends what it feels is good and
right. We do the best we can, however imperfectly that is, to stick to
those ideals...most of us anyway. We do act as a city. As I said in a
previous post, if Shallam decides that Niuri is improper for one of her
guilds then we will not attempt to change the guild, we will simply ask
them to choose between the city or the patron. I COMPLETELY defend a
guilds right to autonomy and hope that no city ever tries to dictate
guild law. We, as a city, do have a right to choose who is welcome and
who is not. I personally dislike Niuri's direction and history of
action. If the city feels that is not an issue then the voice of
one..even a vizier, will be outweighed. But if I am just one of many who
feel that it is improper to allow a seed of evil that is sure to grow
and destroy into our city...well then action will be taken. I am more
than tired, again, of the arguments of what Niuri is...regardless of
your or her ideas of her being good, evil or neutral her actions are out
there for each individual to see and judge for themselves. If those
actions are viewed by the majority, or the majority of an organization,
as evil...we have every right to take action to reduce the risk of being
hurt or corrupted by that. If you feel differently perhaps you would
care to lay all of your decisions out for the public and give us a
chance to debate your decisions and ideals as well?
