Aisu, Haern, Swordsaints.

Hopefully to clear up the confusion,

The Aisu began as a benevolent-minded clan of friends who intended to
work reasonably for the betterment of the clan. Its original membership
could be said to have included Methuselah, Belgarion, Shoimoro, Aasoral
and myself. When I say benevolent minded, that meant that we do not do
things which hurt sapience as a whole or attack innocent sentient
creatures. As we recruited more people, eventually the majority of the
Swordsaint organization was part of the clan though not everyone in the
clan was a Swordsaint.

While it is true that Shoimoro has given me a whole 20 credits for
constantly helping him out, the clan is not some organization of
credit-fueled mercenaries and anyone who joins it hoping that it is will
be dissapointed. It is too bad however that it was connected with the
Swordsaints who are hated by Ashtan because they prevent them from
exercising their ability to kill anything weaker than them. So, shortly
after Brin enemied all of the Swordsaints present in the lands at the
time from Ashtan even though we had broken no laws of that city she
continued on in her little rant and enemied everyone she could see who
was in the Aisu as well for being in the clan with us. It is a tragedy
for the Aisu as well as a classic abuse of power. This act angered the
Aisu who will probably not be friends of Ashtan in the future unless the
city begins to behave in a more mature manner.

As far as Lord Haern's actions, here is an excerpt from the official
Swordsaint reply which we all feel pretty strongly about...

This is an outright attack upon the villages and the Swordsaint Paladins
who make up half the active guild, for in knowing this the raiders will
flock towards the villages thinking we can no longer protect them. If we
protect them and fail, we die, they die, if we protect them and succeed
we suffer wounds equal to what we deal, if we do not protect them then
the swordsaints will appear as impotent cowards and the villagers still
die. You have hemmed us into a lose-lose situation and your claims that
you do it for our own good are of course not believe by any of us.

As ironic as this must sound after the preceding paragraph, I will be
ordering the Swordsaints to withdraw from Tasur'ke, limiting the sphere
of the protectorate to Shastaan and Jaru. While it saddens me greatly to
do this in light of how successful we have been, it is noted that while
during the Swordsaints presence the number of grown attackers falls to
about nothing, the number of young retarded psychotics who cannot seem
to understand the basic tenents of another childs right to life remains
steady. Though I've tried to teach many of them the way to other hunting
areas closer to their home (lets face it, no one is close to Tasur'ke) I
believe that the afflicting and occasional slaying of these people is
what has brought the wrath of Lord Haern down on us, and we cannot
function for long like this.

For the record, Hagen will probably still try to protect Tasur'ke, as he
still tries to protect Thera despite my orders to the contrary. He of
course shouldn't be considered a Swordsaint anymore.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Midautumn, in the year 61 MA.
