Dearest Aetolians,
It has come to my ears that many do not seek to register for the games
because they do not believe they have the opportunity to win. Now aside
from the fact that this is a mentality that will certainly not lift you
to great heights in life, it also pertains a good deal of untruth.
Bound by the old code as I am, I cannot reveal all there is to reveal
about the tournament to come. Yet I can lift a tip of the veil, so you
have a reasonable idea about what there is to come.
All those who register with Orkar, in the top of the Tower Ulafum on
Mostyn are officially registered for the Arionic games. You will have
another eight months and a few days from this day to get yourself
registered. Do think twice before you venture in the Ulafum alone,
though.
When the registration is complete, a series of events will be initiated:
The Arionic Tournaments will begin. Not merely the brawn of muscle will
suffice to win these games. Among other qualities: Perseverance, speed,
wits and the ability to work in a team will be needed to emerge
victorious. There will indeed be a round of combat in some form or the
other, yet there will also be a round in which the contestants wits are
tested and a round of cross-country running, relying greatly on speed
and navigation. In the end, anyone with the right combination of
above-named skills can win these tournaments.
There will indeed be credit-prizes among other prizes that are worth the
while. However, the sheer excitement of taking part in the greatest
tournament ever to be held is worth the effort as is. I will keep you
all up to date, as time passes by.
Strength to you all,
Yilien, Priest of Valor
Penned by my hand on the 6th of Ios, in the year 118 MA.
