Dancing on the Ruins of a Village

Saltzmaul,

It truly beats me how one that depends on nature can be so wiling to
destroy it. Perhaps you, like others I have spoken to, believe people
can survive without nature?

Hashan is dead, and has long been dead, the farmland you spoke of
reclaiming was never yours.

You mourn for Ashtan, Salztmaul? Ashtan does not need your mourning. If
you cared for the city as much as you state, you would be a citizen of
it.

How did I come to lead the city? Easy. I know what the city needs, it
needs people who believe in different things, I, for one, believe that
Hashan should stay dead, and the Ithmia surrounding it stay as forest.

My leadership of Ashtan allows me to truly see what a city does to the
wild. Why should the Descent not have plants? It looks far better then
the basic Slums it once was. If you think you can lead Ashtan better
then me, then by all means, Saltzmaul, join the city and try to run
against me.

And I doubt I shall ever "dance on the ruins of a village", such a
primal act is unbecoming, similar to the way you have attempted to
insult Murad. I don't believe in the destruction of cities, I definatly
believe that those who live in cities should try and live WITH the
natural world, rather then AGAINST it.

Don't think to banter words with me, Saltzmaul, over a city you left
long ago, if you care for the city, leave Spinesreach and rejoin as a
citizen, then I shall listen to your complaints. Until then, run your
own damned city and keep your nose out of where it is not desired.
