The Swordsaints

Greetings Aetolians,

I write today regarding the Swordsaints. Many of you have complained
about various things, mainly about Strung and how he is doing exactly
what he has intended to do - defend the weak and defenseless. I am going
to write regarding the last few public posts, starting with 139 written
by Ysni. Ysni claims that Strung is killing newbies and people who
aren't even bashing in these newly protected areas... I'm sure that the
Gods are watching Strung and will/would have acted by now should he be
out of line.

In Public Post 140 Saladin states that since the Mayor of Thera,
Constantine the Jeweler of Tsur'ke, and Shanugis of Shastaan know that
the citizens of their respective cities are being hurt Strung should let
them deal with their own problems. In the very next paragraph he states,
"...it is the duty of those who can bring security to the world to do
whatever is necessary, apply as much power as possible, to better all of
Sapience" which, to the best of my knowledge, is him contradicting
himself. Strung is doing what is necessary to better the world, starting
with the people whom are constantly attacked and slain solely because
people can.

Kainis posted Public 141 in which he states, in a nutshell, everyone
attacking those cities is inferior to Strung and utterly defenseless.
Obviously if they are attacking and killing people they are not totally
defenseless... they may be no match for Strung's fighting abilities, but
then that's something they should take into account when attacking
Shastaan, Jaru, and Tsur'ke, isn't it? Kainis then states that since
those Strung is defending the cities against are weak he is honourless
for slaying them. Again, those slaying the innocent should reevaluate
doing so as they shall have to face the Swordsaints, and last I checked
defending the innocent does not make you any less honourable.

Nixsa's post... well, Nixsa is just pretty ignorant, stating that the
innocent villagers of these cities were created to be slain for her own
personal entertainment, holding no rights to life... I really don't need
to make many comments on this. Fayea is on the right track in post 143.

I in no way claim to know the entire story or everything that's going
on, but rather I comment from a third party perspective who has merely
decided to speak his point of view. I haven't participated in either
bashing or protecting these areas, but I believe I have made clear what
I believe the 'right' thing to do would be.
