This is written in protest of the ridiculous conditions of "natures
protectors" in sapience today. The first thing that comes to ones mind
when you say "natures protectors" is of course the druids, some of which
are progressive, wise and intelligent, what a protector of nature should
be, the others however are tied up in politics, guild or otherwise.
Before anyone makes any conceited assumptions, I would like to say that
I am not talking about anyone in particular, because I know how the
minds of certain individuals work. For instance " oh he's talking about
pathetic, and druids" it must be me. Trust me ... it is not you, so go
back to your grove and cry.
Even in the keepers the organization that was supposedly set up to rid
our charge of obstructive politics and propose an alternate way of
conduct, nothing is different. Infact from what I can see, the old druid
authoritarian way still persists and we haven't cleansed ourselves of
anything, and there are no exceptions to this statement. As for serving
the undying will, great job guys, not much is said let alone done,
unless Malhavoc has had something to do with it.
Malhavoc himself is somewhat a visionary, brilliant ideas, brilliant
mind, interesting past, pity all he has to work with is a bunch of
apathetic structure and authority worshipping hypocrites (myself
included) to work with. You can't build a new better world by laying the
foundations of new order on the corpses of the past. And all I have
received for having some aim and drive is hollow threats and degrading
comments. If you must humiliate me, or threaten me, try and be
constructive, tell me what I'm doing wrong. So that we might fix it, of
course this is not the order of things. Stagnation is too comfortable to
leave, as I see it now, were going nowhere, so smoothly you would think
you're rowing across protean pond.
As badly written as this is, I hope I'm being emotive enough to prove
that I actually care about what's happening with us... and I mean us,
the separated yet unified protectors of nature and were unified in what
seems a truly saddening state of dire depression.
And why do I care, well it sure isn't to reform politics it is the
saddening neglected third party of our situation, the forest we swore to
protect, well its not a really major part anyway is it. We mustn't
forget the major issues of... the horologe... or guild structure,
without them we mightn't have some way of putting others down. I'm not
gonna go into the emphasis of guild skills over ideals, but I can tell
you I would have a lot to rant about there too.
So, to finish this delightful rant, id like to beg for action, because
there isn't enough, other guilds and organizations in sapience have
succumbed to this dull monotonous stupor, and so have we, so snap out of
it. Look at a tree and think, what the hell does politics and skills
have to do with this. And for those who don't wanna hear this go talk to
someone with more experience. Because at my 46th year in this world, I
haven't felt stronger about anything else, so wake up, do something, get
involved for a reason other then a guild favor or a vantage for
manipulation.
If you've read up to here, I'm impressed maybe you're not as bad as I
thought, I will accept all backlash gratefully, so do your worst (I
would prefer to be left alone however).
And on a final note, a lot of these observations were helped by none
other then Daelar, in my mind the most interesting druid (ex druid) to
grace the realms, scan early-enough posts ... and eventually you'll find
it.
