Addressed to: Manyr Corona, the Corrupted
first, thank you for clarifying your unfortunate 'accident' with the
Dragon, my information on your demise was inaccurate, and I apologise
for misrepresenting it.
You accuse me of ignorance and and intolerance. While I would be the
first to admit to not knowing many things, and possibly having mistaken
views on others, I do not wallow in my ignorance, or refuse to admit
when I may be wrong, but seek to gain knowledge and wisdom from where
ever possible. As you admit, I asked you earlier to help me understand
and enlighten me on your views and thoughts. My honest desire for
information was met with anger and rejection. That you have changed your
mind and chosen to help me understand better, speaks highly of you.
First, as to the meaning of and what constitutes corruption, well by
your, and others use of it, it seems a most malleable and adaptive
thing, able to encompass most anything you wish to include that may
further your argument or point of view. I suppose if that is the case,
we might as well just say everything is corruption and be done with it,
rather than going through these ever changing definitions and
connotations.
Second, saying I am intolerant is, in one sense of the word, correct,
but is being intolerant always wrong?
Do we tolerate letting an asp live among the bedclothes of our children?
Do we tolerate someone adding poison to our food, or a wild beast living
on our doorstep?
Sometimes, intolerance is a defence against the spread of something that
threatens our life or liberty. What you call intolerance may to me, be
defending myself and those I care for, from a potential threat. I am
also intolerant of those who would seek to have their way with me,
should I allow myself to be raped, just so I should be regarded as
'accepting'?
I have looked inside myself, you as a former Sentaari should know that
self contemplation is one of the tools we use to try and reach
equilibrium and balance. I am far from a perfect being, I have my faults
and weaknesses, just like any person, I have a good side, and I have a
darker side. The difference is, I control that side of myself, as I
control my better side as well, and do not allow them to control me.I do
not always succeed in this endeavor, for I am an imperfect being, given
to the lapses all mortals suffer from time to time. But at least I put
forth the effort to try.
Thank you for your words and taking the time to present your side of
this matter. I appreciate your effort and thank you for this chance to
discuss this with me.
In service to Life and Balance,
