The people of Thera are honoured at your offer to protect our fair
citizens. It is truly a mark of honour and compassion from your Knightly
brigade that would seek to enact justice and protection for those who
cannot do so themselves.

While we appreciate your concern and efforts, we do not wish our city to
become a battlefield for good and evil, nor do we wish it to become a
place for the great cities of Aetolia to wage the wars.

We have employed our own Theran guards to protect our fair village for
this and we have faith in the ability of the men and women trained to
guard us.

In this, I must decline your offer on behalf of the people of Thera.
