The Muting Epidemic

Mandia and Pandia,

I was frustrated and a little disappointed with what I read today
concerning the demise of Kaine and the lifting of his curse from the
three individuals affected. Not that I have anything personal against
either of them, I just feel that the past few months' posts have been
much ado about nothing. The whole "muting epidemic" was a waste of time!
It's as if you've attempted to cause widespread apprehension, but only
succeeded in making complete fools of yourselves and wasting our good
time. You muted a fraction of a percent of the world's population for a
few months, made a big deal out of it, and let yourselves disappear
again. This is what troubled me. You cast a hex upon a few people,
giving them a condition that, I believe, a lot more deserve to be
afflicted with, while we all sat and watched with rapt attention,
hanging onto every word (be it spoken or otherwise). But all this to no
avail. The threat, though still somewhat real, is now, for the most
part, gone. And we're all left standing here wondering just what was
supposedto have happened had Lady Khepri not interceded. What I'm
getting at is that it's fine if you want to single out and pick on three
people for your own reasons, but until you have done something worthy of
the time of more than a small minority of the world's population, don't
trouble the rest of us with it. Your personal vendettas have no place
here.

In shadow always,
Syffre Amaratha
